Then there’s this moment when the doctor hands you your baby for the very first time. Wow. I remember thinking “I need to remember this” as though I could have forgotten it. I thought I would have automatically accepted that this is my baby. I am a mom. But it really took days… maybe longer. There are still days when I look at my son in complete disbelief.

Sounds really weird, but he wasn’t anything like I pictured… It was like meeting someone you’ve talked to on the phone 100 times. Although you couldn’t describe what you expected, they look nothing like it.
